Offerta tirocinio@Dipartimento Chimica Uniroma2

È disponibile un tirocinio di tesi per uno studente della LM Bioinformatica presso il laboratorio di Chimica Computazionale del Prof. Lorenzo Stella del Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche di Tor Vergata.

Argomento del tirocinio: Coarse-Grained Simulations of the SHP2 Phosphatase.
The Src homology-2 domain-containing phosphatase 2 (SHP2), encoded by PTPN11, is a central node in RAS signaling and cancer and a pivotal target for anticancer therapy. PTPN11 mutations cause ~35% of juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) cases and occur with a variable prevalence in other childhood leukemias and, more rarely, solid tumors. In addition, SHP2 is required for the survival of RTK-driven cancer cells, contributes to resistance to anti-cancer drugs and plays a role in modulating the immune checkpoints.

Tutto questo nell’ambito di un progetto PNRR denominato: National Research Center for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing, within the CN1 spoke 6 “Multiscale Modelling and Engineering Applications”, Sottoprogetto: “Simulative approaches for biomolecular systems at different time scales” – Life Science.
